We study the evolution of plants, their traits, and of specific functional genes. Our current projects focus on the Australasian clades of showy mistletoes to understand their phylogenetic and biogeographic histories, and the traits that mediate their interactions with their hosts, pollinators, dispersers, consumers, and residents.
